GDCL

GDCL was founded by Geraint Davies in 1996 to provide system software design and development. Between 1996 and 2015 he concentrated on multimedia software, particularly DirectShow, and on Windows device drivers.

GDCL was closed when Geraint joined Periscope & Twitter in 2015, but is re-opening for business in June 2022.

Our clients include Microsoft, VBrick, Philips Semiconductors, Mediamatics, Broadcom, Intel and the BBC. Our projects have covered the following technologies:

  • MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 demultiplexing and playback, analysis and content management, multiplexing and authoring
